Accounting

August 7, 2018

As I said in my post of July 25, 2018 in Attorney and Judicial Misconduct, “The past and current officers and members of the Executive Committee and those that call themselves the Board of Directors are responsible for, and complicit in, the lies Tracey Sutherland told to the court under oath and in operating the corporation illegally. The names and terms of office of the past and current officers and members of the Executive Committee and those that call themselves the Board of Directors are given in the appendix to the paper and in the Directories menu at http://aaahq.org/About. Those in charge of the Corporation who instructed Tracey Sutherland to lie to the court in her 2013 affidavit, and instructed Donald Tracy to lie to the court, and therefore conspired to lie to the court, are those in office in 2013. Furthermore, every officer from 1996 to the present have conspired to lie to the IRS by claiming the Corporation was a 501(c)(3) corporation when it was not.”

The Financial Standards Accounting Board (FASB) is the organization recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to set accounting standards (15 U.S.C. § 77s(b) (2012); SEC Policy Statement, Release Nos. 33-8221; 34-47743; IC-26028; FR-70 (Apr. 25, 2003), http://www.sec.gov/rules/policy/33-8221.htm#p405130). (Although I argue that the SEC’s recognition of the FASB was an ultra vires act. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2662634).

Christine Botosan has served on the FASB since July, 2016. Previously, Ms. Botosan was a member of the American Accounting Association “Board of Directors” from 2013-2014 as President-Elect (http://www2.aaahq.org/about/directory2014/bod2014.htm), and from 2012-2013 as a “Director.” (http://www2.aaahq.org/about/directory2013/bod2013.htm). Furthermore, Ms. Botosan had served as “a leadership fellow in the office of the vice president and as the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Presidential Chair in Ethical Financial Reporting” (https://www.fasb.org/jsp/FASB/Page/SectionPage&cid=1176168267372,emphasis added).

Thus, Ms. Botosan served on the American Accounting Association “Board of Directors” at the time of Tracy Sutherland’s false statement under oath, which means Ms. Botosan was, along with other members of the “Board of Directors, responsible for, and complicit in, Tracey Sutherland’s perjury, in addition to operating the corporation illegally, and Donald Tracy’s misrepresentation of law and facts to the court.

Therefore there is now someone serving on the FASB setting accounting standards who, as a member of the American Accounting Association’s “Board of Directors,” authorized Tracey Sutherland’s perjurious statements to the court, approved of Donald Tracy’s misrepresentations of law and fact to the court, and approved of the fraud on the IRS and conspiracy to lie to the IRS by claiming the Corporation was a 501(c)(3) corporation when it was not.

Inexplicable is the fact that Ms. Botosan was the Presidential Chair in Ethical Financial Reporting, yet as a member of the American Accounting Association’s “Board of Directors” was a participant in its unethical conduct and illegal operation.

Given that Ms. Botosan, as a member of the American Accounting Association’s “Board of Directors,” was responsible for Tracey Sutherland’s perjury and Donald Tracy’s violation of the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct, one is justified in questioning the integrity of the FASB and its process for choosing who serves on the FASB.

Heavy Duty, Dennis Huber. You take difficult, and semi-buried facts and place them concisely for all to see. Bravo!
